Energy 350 is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to work remotely while serving clients in Southern Idaho. The role involves conducting energy efficiency studies, collaborating with customers, and analyzing energy systems. Candidates should have an engineering background and experience in energy efficiency. The position offers a salary of $85,000-$125,000, benefits, and requires day travel to client sites. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday.

You’re in the right place! We are hiring an Energy Efficiency Engineer (Idaho) at Energy 350 to serve our territory in Southern Idaho.
Key Details:
• Location: This is a work from home position that requires boots on the ground in Southern Idaho
• Travel: Day travel to client sites primarily in Southern Idaho; 3-5 days per month
• Pay: $85,000-$125,000 annually (Engineer III – Senior Engineer)

Position Overview: The Energy Efficiency Engineer (Idaho) is responsible for working with commercial and industrial customers to identify projects to reduce energy usage, quantifying energy savings and helping determine eligible incentives. This includes a lot of problem solving, collaboration and interaction with customers. This is a work-from-home position that requires boots on the ground in Southern Idaho. This engineer will work closely with a small team of Energy 350 engineers located in the Boise area.
A typical day may include:
• Conducting energy efficiency studies in the commercial and industrial sectors
• Retrocommissioning/building optimization
• Working with commercial and industrial customers to scope and develop energy efficiency projects
• Working with mechanical and controls contractors to scope commercial HVAC related energy efficiency projects and communicating utility incentive program requirements
• Energy engineering/energy analysis
• Conducting on-site Measurement & Verification of energy savings
• Writing technical reports for non-technical audiences
• Working in a dynamic, challenging and collaborative environment
Qualifications:
We are looking for a technical person with excellent communication skills and the ability to actively engage various stakeholders to participate in local energy efficiency incentive programs.
Ideal candidates will have many of the following skills and experience:
• Engineering degree and/or great experience required
• Experience in the energy efficiency field
• Experience analyzing energy systems and quantifying annual energy savings
• A high energy, self-starter with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Industrial or commercial energy efficiency experience
• Working knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical systems and building science
• Ability to identify mechanical and electrical equipment in the field and explain control methods and what retrofits or changes can be implemented to conserve energy. Familiar with the following systems:
• HVAC
• Fans & pumps
• Refrigeration
• Compressed air
• Water & wastewater treatment
• Motors and VFDs
• Ability to breakdown complex data sets to conduct root analysis and present meaningful observations applying data visualization tools
• Capability to work autonomously with good project & time management skills
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
This full-time position requires location in Southern Idaho and working from a home office to serve industrial and commercial sites for local utility programs. Relocation assistance will be provided.
