Job Summary
Dominion Energy South Carolina is looking for an Associate, Mid-Level, or Sr Energy Analyst to join the Meter Lab team in Cayce, South Carolina or North Charleston, SC Electric Operations Building. There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
Complex Metering:
This role ensures accurate and timely energy data for Government, Industrial, large Commercial and Residential accounts that are on a complex rate schedule (such as time of use, net, solar, etc.), which require interval energy data for billing, internal load research and other purposes.
The Energy Data Analyst is responsible for:
• Utilizing billing system and complex metering systems, including the Meter Data Management system (MDM), complex meter head-end and validation systems (MV90), Survey Meter Interval System (SIMS) etc., to complete work/reports in a timely manner.
• Analyzing energy data needs, such as proration and estimation, and orders meter exchanges to support complex rate schedules, etc.
• Analyzing and remediates gaps or exceptions in energy data as required, to ensure accurate and timely data that is critical for billing. Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety.
• Monitors the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes to ensure data integrity.
• Supports ongoing enhancements to systems and full functionality of capabilities.
• Coordinates with key stakeholders, such as Field Metering, Credit, Billing, Customer Service, etc. to analyze and resolve IDR exceptions such as meter alarms and communication status issues, through daily reporting.
• Supports calls from Field Metering to provide information and to troubleshoot and resolve data issues, requiring fast analysis and resolution of a variety of AMI and IDR issues.
• Prioritizes critical activities, recognizing stakeholder needs and business impacts.
• Supports outage and storm related activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (
Note:
A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
• 0-2 years related experience in Metering, Operations, Credit or other Customer Service Areas;
• Developing proficiency with Customer Information System (CIS);
• Prefer knowledge of metering, interval data and various rate schedules;
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and attention to detail;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customer service focus;
• Ability to multi-task;
• Ability to work with a team.
3 – 5 years of directly related experience in Metering, Operations, Credit or other Customer Service Areas.
Proficiency in Customer Information System (CIS)
Familiarity with metering, interval data and various rate schedules preferred.
Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service focus.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work with a team and make critical decisions independently.
5+ years directly related experience in Metering, Operations, Credit or other Customer Service Areas.
Advanced proficiency with Customer Information System (CIS).
