Job Description
Tetra Tech is seeking an Energy Consultant to join their dynamic energy team, focusing on sustainable design and optimization strategies for building owners, architects, and engineers. The role involves energy modeling, audits, and developing decarbonization strategies to achieve net-zero energy goals. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience in sustainable building design or the energy sector. The position is remote.

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is adding an Energy Consultant to our Energy team. In this role, you will support cutting-edge consulting projects as part of a dynamic energy team. Your expertise will be pivotal in providing guidance to building owners, architects, and engineers to support sustainable design and optimization strategies. You will play a key role in delivering energy consulting solutions that help decarbonize large-scale new developments and existing building portfolios.

As an Energy Consultant, you will work on energy and sustainability planning projects across various building types, campuses, and portfolios. You will contribute to developing comprehensive decarbonization strategies, helping clients achieve net-zero energy, carbon neutrality, and energy resilience.
Your Role:
• Provide energy modeling and consulting services for building design, energy audits, retro-commissioning, and decarbonization projects.
• Support building decarbonization plans for buildings, campuses, and portfolios.
• Develop energy models, conduct energy audits and assessments, analyze data, and produce energy reports.
• Advise clients and engineering teams on energy efficiency, decarbonization, and resilience strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to building decarbonization and sustainability.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of expertise in energy efficiency and sustainable design.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Essential:
• Degree in Engineering, Building Sciences, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in sustainable building design or the energy sector.
• Expertise in MEP systems, sustainable building design, electrified heating technologies, renewable energy, and energy codes and standards.
• Experience with energy modeling, energy audits, or retro-commissioning projects.
• Familiarity with software tools such as IES-VE, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and CBECC-com.
• Knowledge of data analytics, dashboarding, and programming (Python, R, SQL).
• Ability to utilize advanced data analytics and effectively communicate analysis results.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred:
• Professional certifications such as PE, LEED AP, CEM, BEMP.
• Experience with commissioning software and ongoing commissioning tools.
• Expertise in mission-critical, life sciences, or electrical systems.

This role offers a remote work arrangement; however, candidates must be located within the United States and authorized to work here. While preference is given to candidates based in Portland or Seattle, we welcome applications from individuals across the country who have the necessary qualifications and a strong desire to contribute to Glumac's mission. Salary Range:
$85,000 - $125,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package.
