Job Summary
Our company is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Energy Consultant to join our team. As an Energy Consultant, you will be responsible for providing information and guidance to clients on solar energy and how it can benefit their homes or businesses. This is a 1099 position, meaning the consultant will be an independent contractor rather than an employee.
Responsibilities
• Educate potential clients on the benefits of solar energy and our company's products and services
• Assess clients' energy needs and usage to determine the best solar energy solution for them
• Provide accurate and timely quotes for solar panel installations and related services
• Work with clients to answer questions and address any concerns they may have about solar energy and the installation process
• Collaborate with our team of engineers and installers to ensure that each installation meets our high standards of quality
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and referral business
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to solar energy and share this knowledge with clients and colleagues
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Solar Consultant or in a similar customer-facing role
• In-depth knowledge of solar energy, including system design, installation, and maintenance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients in a clear and understandable way
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to client satisfaction
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Proficient with relevant software tools and systems, such as CRM software and project management tools
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not required)
