Energy Auditor

The Energy Auditor at Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency will assist in administering energy programs by conducting in-home electrical audits and implementing energy efficiency measures. Responsibilities include performing audits, installing energy efficiency measures, conducting consumer education, and overseeing quality inspections. A high school diploma and a valid Ohio driver's license are required. This is a full-time position based in Lancaster, OH, with benefits including health and dental insurance.
About the position

The Energy Auditor will assist the Agency's Energy Director in administering Energy programs, focusing on conducting in-home electrical audits and implementing energy efficiency measures. This role involves both classroom and field training to ensure proper home inspection techniques and successful completion of accreditation assessments.

Responsibilities
• Performs in-home electrical audits
,
• Installs appropriate electric energy efficiency measures
,
• Conducts comprehensive consumer education on reducing electric use and improving home efficiency
,
• Conducts quality inspections and oversees work in progress
,
• Completes and submits detailed work orders to sub-contractors according to program requirements
,
• Completes all required documentation as required by program
,
• Performs other related duties as requested by the Director

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
,
• Valid Ohio Driver's license with an excellent driving record
,
• Clean BCI & FBI background check
,
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening
,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
,
• Understanding of the needs of low-income families
,
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently
