About the position

The Director of Supply Chain Systems and Engineering at Chedraui USA is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of supply chain systems and engineering processes across the company's operations and warehouses. This position is based at the Rancho Cucamonga facility and requires a seasoned professional with a robust background in supply chain management, systems engineering, and project management. The Director will leverage technology, data analytics, and engineering principles to enhance supply chain efficiency, visibility, and resilience, ensuring that the organization meets its operational goals and customer expectations. In this role, the Director will supervise and coordinate a team of associates engaged in supply chain systems and engineering processes. This includes establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), overseeing inventory control processes, enforcing safety protocols, and coordinating logistics activities. The Director will also collaborate with customer service teams to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies, ensuring exceptional service levels in distribution operations. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a significant focus, as the Director identifies opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and increase productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate and train associates, and a commitment to fostering a safe and efficient working environment. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The Director will also be responsible for driving innovation within the supply chain, utilizing advanced technologies and data analysis to inform decision-making and enhance operational performance.

Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate supply chain systems and engineering processes for supply chain operations.

• Train, evaluate, and motivate supervised associates to accurately execute supply chain performance, logistics, inventory control, safety protocols, and improvement initiatives.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chains systems and processes.
,
• Continuously monitor and ensure adherence to established KPIs.
,
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet operational targets for productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
,
• Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counting, stock replenishment, and inventory accuracy checks.
,
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
,
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation scheduling, dock management, and carrier coordination.
,
• Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address customer inquiries, resolve order discrepancies, and ensure exceptional service levels in distribution operations.
,
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in warehouse operations, implement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and increase productivity.
,
• Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and other tools to optimize inventory tracking, order processing, and warehouse efficiency.
,
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain systems and engineering, leveraging data analysis and feedback from stakeholders.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Seven years of experience supervising employees in supply chain management, systems engineering, and project management context.
,
• Certification in project management, supply chain management, or relevant technology platforms (e.g., PMP, APICS, Six Sigma) is preferred.
,
• Strong technical background and knowledge of supply chain systems and technologies, including ERP, WMS, TMS, business intelligence, and data analytics tools.
,
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
,
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex supply chain challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive results.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Bilingual in Spanish highly desired.
