About the position

We are seeking a multi-faceted Field Technician to join our team at BarrierEnergy, specializing in energy efficiency and solar energy. This position offers flexible hours and a hybrid on-site/off-site schedule, making it ideal for individuals looking for a balance between work and personal commitments. The starting wage is $20 per hour, with opportunities for commission based on performance. After a 60-day training period and review, there is potential for an increase in hourly wage depending on your performance during this period. As a Field Technician, your primary responsibility will be to inspect homes and perform energy audits. This involves testing and inspecting various property features for efficiency and performance. You will also be required to undergo certification, which will be paid for by BarrierEnergy. This certification process includes training, test-taking, and hands-on operation of equipment, ensuring you are well-equipped to perform your duties effectively. In addition to fieldwork, you will need to demonstrate computer literacy, as you will be responsible for entering data online after completing your inspections. Basic math skills are necessary, and familiarity with various software applications will be beneficial. Administrative and clerical tasks will also be part of your responsibilities to support operations. Marketing is another key aspect of this role. You will need to be personable with clients and take the initiative when marketing opportunities arise. This may involve multitasking, such as visiting nearby job sites to distribute business cards and promote our services. Requirements
