Frontier Energy is seeking an Energy Analyst in Duluth, MN, focused on energy saving calculations for high-efficiency equipment upgrades. The Energy Analyst will complete energy saving calculations for end-users who have completed high efficiency equipment upgrade projects (i.e. lighting, HVAC, motors, controls) or are looking to reduce energy usage. The role will involve using MS Office with a large focus in MS Excel and other tracking tools. The Energy Analyst will communicate with clients, end-use customers, contractors and other via phone and/or email to build relationships that can bring more projects for existing and new clients. The role will also include in-person interactions with end-use customers and others at their locations sometimes which could be up to a couple hours away from the office and could require multiple days in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Perform energy savings calculations for upgrading equipment, adding efficient controls, etc. to various end use equipment (i.e., lighting, HVAC, motors, controls) using spreadsheets and other tools
• Work directly with end use customers and trade allies to identify, calculate, and communicate energy conservation opportunities
• Conduct or coordinate facility site visits, ASHRAE audits (Level I & II)
• Execute outreach via phone and in person activities bringing in program participants into our programs
• Provide consistent customer contact and communication to ensure excellent ongoing customer service and satisfaction
• Pre- and post-verification site visits for end-use customers to validate energy savings calculations
• Provide periodic reports to leads on project status and/or performance
• Travel by car to customer sites, generally within 150 miles of the Duluth office (occasionally farther)
• Other activities as requested related to energy conservation, analysis, reporting, and customer service

Required Skills

High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) Equivalent AND must be able to complete Proficiency test for discipline with a score of 70% or better Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Energy Management, Sustainability, Business, Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred
• In lieu of educational requirement, 2 years of other work experience in any capacity
• Self-motivated and quick, adaptive learner in a changing environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A team player who loves to help others excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences both virtually and face to face
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, scout, and attend local events correlating to Frontier’s Mission
• This position will require the candidate to drive to client sites, etc.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the energy, construction, or other relevant industries
• Experience recruiting applicants for program participation
• Excellent skills with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook®, and Windows® operating systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
