Energy Advisor

AmeriSpec Canada is hiring Energy Advisors in Cobourg, ON, for full-time or part-time positions. Candidates must be Registered or in the process of becoming Registered Energy Advisors. Responsibilities include conducting Energy Audits and assisting homeowners. Requirements include computer skills, knowledge of building materials, and a valid driver's license. The role involves physical work and requires availability on weekdays and some weekends. Compensation ranges from $35,000 to $75,000 per year.

AmeriSpec Inspection Services is looking to hire Full Time or Part Time Energy Advisors who are currently Registered, who were previously Certified as an Energy Advisor by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) or who are in the process of being Registered.

POSITION:
As a highly trained and qualified Energy Advisor, you will perform Energy Audits in accordance with NRCan/EnerGuide standards.

You will have all the necessary knowledge and resources to help homeowners understand all the steps related to an Energy Audit.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Proficient computer skills using HOT2000, email, and other every-day computer programs.
• REA (Registered Energy Advisor) designation, or have passed the Foundation and Energy Advisor exams, or are currently studying to complete both.
• Basic knowledge of residential building materials and home construction.
• Motivated self starter.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license & insurance.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and mathematic (geometry) skills.
• Professionalism and meticulous attention-to-detail.
• Advanced sense of observation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Learn about services offered by AmeriSpec Inspection Services.
• Availability to work weekdays.
• Availability to work some weekday evenings and some weekends.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to do physically active work (climb ladders, access crawlspaces, enter attics, as well as stand for long periods of time).

• Equipment provided (MM3 - Minneapolis Model 3 blower door w/DG gauge).
Note: if you are an existing Registered Energy Advisor looking to augment your existing workload from other service organization(s) you may be affiliated with, this may be an attractive position for you (part-time scheduling available).

Applicant Qualifications:
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Canadian Passport.
• Willing to Undergo a Background Check.

Compensation: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

This innovative facility includes a combustion safety simulator/residential pressure diagnostic tool. This provides AmeriSpec business owners and inspectors with the training needed to make them the best in the industry.
