BRG Energy & Climate is seeking a consultant in our business advisory practice. Our advisory team provides strategic insights to large energy and utility companies, global governments, and industry organizations addressing the most urgent and pressing challenges in the energy transition. Successful consultants are motivated problem solvers, well-organized, with solid analytical skills. BRG is equally interested in candidates with qualitative or quantitative skill sets. Our advisory work involves economic/financial analysis (quantitative and qualitative), preparation of written reports, development and preparation of client deliverables, client engagement and presentation, industry research, and new business development. Successful candidates have an interest in energy and climate market dynamics and a background to match.

The highly collaborative international team in the Energy & Climate practice provides for a flexible work environment with tremendous opportunities for growth.Responsibilities include:Support project leaders and Managing Directors in preparing qualitative and quantitative analysis of key strategic, economic, and market analysesContribute to client interaction via email and conference calls as appropriate.Assist in preparing presentation materials for clientsDemonstrate creativity to develop solutions to novel business and policy problems.Organize your time and prioritize assignments and responsibilities in order to meet goals and deadlines.Attention to detail and ability to review work product for completeness and accuracy.Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives, write business proposals and proposed work scopes, and contribute to other office and team functions.Basic Qualifications:An undergraduate-level degree in economics, finance, applied mathematics, accounting, business and data analytics, engineering, and/or related discipline;Two to four ( 2 - 4) years of experience in the energy industry and/or consulting;Keen interest in energy markets, economics and financial analysis, and research;Desire to work within a team environment as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently;Advanced capability with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and Outlook;Commitment to producing high quality analysis and client deliverables;Strong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects and deadlines; andWell-developed organization and time management skills. Desired Qualifications:A Masters-level degree (e.g., MBA, MA, MS, etc.) in economics, finance, applied mathematics, accounting, business and data analytics, engineering, and/or related disciplines AND a minimum two (2) years of prior experience in energy industry and/or energy consulting;Prior professional writing experience, including experience in writing client advisory and market reports;Working understanding of energy market dynamics, and a passion for learning;Experience in statistical analysis programs (e.g., Stata and R), Tableau, SQL, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ), with a desire to expand those capabilities.LI-MT1 / #LI-HYBRIDSalary: $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
