Job Description

Airswift is seeking an End User Computing (EUC) Specialist in Perth, WA, Australia, to manage and optimize the EUC environment. Responsibilities include overseeing service delivery, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, managing incidents, and collaborating with vendors. Candidates should have at least 10 years of infrastructure experience and expertise in EUC systems. The position offers a competitive rate with a 12-month assignment, potentially extendable.

About the Role:

This role plays a key role in managing and optimising the global end-user computing (EUC) environment to ensure high performance, reliability, and a seamless user experience. This role is responsible for the strategic oversight, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of EUC systems to support evolving business needs and technological advancements.

You will also be accountable for ensuring adherence to established standards, security protocols, and technical change management processes across the EUC environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight
• Deliver expert oversight on the service delivery and performance of EUC systems, including:
• Modern endpoint management (e.g. OS lifecycle and upgrades)
• Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
• Mobile device and application management
• High-availability software deployment
• Application packaging and patch management
• Evaluation and optimisation of EUC hardware and performance
• Cybersecurity Alignment
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement proactive risk mitigations within the EUC environment.
• Incident Management
• Provide leadership during major incidents involving EUC systems, offering troubleshooting support and coordination with operations teams.
• Vendor & Commercial Support
• Contribute to the development and review of scopes of work for third-party vendors or service providers, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Risk Identification & Mitigation
• Proactively assess potential risks and take pre-emptive action to ensure business continuity and system integrity.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Stay current with industry trends, particularly around M365 and digital workplace technologies, and drive initiatives to improve the user experience and system capabilities.
• Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
• Act as an SME on all matters relating to the management, security, and support of EUC platforms across the enterprise.
• Team Coordination
• Lead and coordinate EUC technical resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality support and services, prioritised according to business needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with technical leads, engineers, and service providers to operate, optimise, and evolve the EUC landscape in response to emerging technologies and organisational requirements.

Skills & Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years supporting enterprise Standard Operating Environments (SOE).
• Hands-on technical expertise in managing large-scale EUC systems and devices.
• Proficiency with tools and platforms such as AWS, Nexthink, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and Microsoft GenAI.
• Strong foundational understanding of networking, storage systems, and the OSI model.
• Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders, build strong relationships, and influence outcomes.

Qualifications
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Bachelor's degree or Diploma).
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft (M365, Azure), or related professional credentials.
