Hampshire County Council is hiring an Emergency Planning Resilience Officer in Winchester, UK. The Role:

Emergency Planning and Resilience is a varied and rewarding role, working across all levels of the Authority and with multiple partner agencies.
In the role, you will support the delivery of the County Council's statutory functions under the Civil Contingencies Act (2004) including developing and reviewing emergency plans and testing and exercising arrangements. You will work with the wider Emergency Planning and Resilience Team to ensure that the County Council are prepared to respond to disruptive challenges.
Communication skills are essential to this role; for example oral skills will be required for delivering training, exercises and presentations internally and externally, whilst written communication skills will be essential for writing presentations, debrief reports, exercise reports and emergency plans. An understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Local Authorities and their relation to Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response is desirable, combined with a working knowledge of the Local Resilience Fora.
You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire [and the Isle of Wight or other local authority], and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis. The role will also require participation on an on-call duty roster undertaking out of hour duties.
