Electrical Inspector

NV Energy is hiring an Electrical Inspector in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves inspecting electrical installations, ensuring compliance with company standards, and interacting with customers and contractors. Candidates should have a high school diploma and complete a Journeyman Electric Lineman apprenticeship. The position requires outdoor work and climbing. Compensation is $67.13 per hour with various employee benefits offered.
Responsibilities

ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR (6112)
Responsible for inspecting electrical installations performed by Company and contract personnel, Inspects electrical service requirements within residential subdivisions and/or commercial developments. Will perform electrical inspections and other duties beyond the main trench. Inspects installation and removal of appropriate distribution system. Observes and verified the proper installation of facilities in accordance with Company specifications and standards and performs material audits. Has direct contact with customers and Company contractors. Must be skilled to perform all types of work specific to the journeyman lineman classification. Employees will perform any and all tasks for which they are properly trained and can competently and safely perform.

Requirements

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Work Experience

High School Diploma or GED and completion of a four year Journeyman- Electric Lineman apprentice program through IBEW or DOL

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Experience with Hot Stick and Rubber gloving.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Climbing towers and poles, working outdoors in all weather conditions

Compensation

$67.13 per hour. Potential Safety Bonus 2%. The company reserves the right to determine the number of positions awarded for this requisition.
