Siemens Grid Software is seeking an Electrical Grid Software Developer in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will act as the technical and domain expert in customer-facing projects, driving customer satisfaction for electrical grid operators and their IT departments. This includes understanding customer needs, providing solutions by combining commercial off-the-shelf products with customer-specific improvements, and leading discussions to optimize product fit for the customer. The Solution Architect will also develop patterns and guidance that are important inputs for standard product development and drive the entire project lifecycle from bid phase to end-of-life for our software systems.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical/electronic engineering with specialization in Power System Controls. Technical project management experience involving Spectrum Power or comparable Control Room products is necessary. You must have knowledge of innovative IT infrastructure, IT security, and network technologies, as well as Profound Knowledge to leverage IaaS and Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). Excellent communication skills in English are also required.
