Job Summary:

We are seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to evaluate, design, and optimize solar + wind hybrid power solutions for both on-grid net metering and off-grid applications. The ideal candidate will assess field applications, determine power requirements, and ensure the feasibility of hybrid renewable energy systems. This role requires expertise in solar panels, inverters, batteries, RMS, electronics, and electrical systems as an integrated solution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Feasibility Analysis: Conduct field studies to evaluate energy demand, wind/solar resource availability, and site conditions for hybrid power solutions.
• System Design & Optimization: Developed electrical designs integrating solar panels, wind turbines, inverters, battery storage, and control systems.
• Technical Evaluation: Assess power electronics, energy storage, and hybrid system efficiency for optimal performance.
• Grid Integration & Off-Grid Solutions: Design hybrid power systems compatible with on-grid net metering and standalone off-grid applications.
• Component Selection & Specification: Identify and recommend appropriate components, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Performance Monitoring & RMS Integration: Implement remote monitoring systems (RMS) for real-time data collection, performance analysis, and predictive maintenance.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams, including project managers, installation teams, and clients, to ensure seamless execution.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure designs meet local and international electrical codes, grid regulations, and safety standards.
• Technical Support & Documentation: Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning; prepare reports and system documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Experience: 6-9 years in designing and implementing hybrid solar-wind power systems.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of power electronics, inverters, battery storage, and RMS integration.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with electrical design tools like PVsyst, HOMER, AutoCAD, MATLAB, SCADA, or similar.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct feasibility studies, energy modeling, and performance analysis.
• Industry Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with IEC, NEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes and regulations.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and renewable energy components.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present technical concepts to clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in solar/wind energy (e.g., NABCEP, GWO, or equivalent).

Experience in SCADA/RMS integration for hybrid power systems.

Knowledge of hybrid microgrid technologies and smart grid integration.
