The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund is offering a part-time paid Education & Outreach Internship from May to December 2025. This role involves supporting environmental education, coalition building, and candidate research. New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (New Jersey LCV) is a bi-partisan organization whose mission is to elect environmental champions, hold public officials accountable, and support laws which protect our environment and improve the quality of people’s lives. We have an exciting internship opportunity for a high-energy, multi-talented student who is looking for a chance to have their hands in environmental policy, coalition building, and interaction with gubernatorial campaigns in New Jersey. The ideal Education & Outreach intern applicant can not only multi-task but enjoys it most when they can do a variety of activities and learn about diverse aspects of a job. In this role, you will have a rare chance to see the behind-the-scenes workings of campaign planning, policy and issues advocacy, and the impact of amplifying them - all within an exciting, energetic organization that is making a difference in the fight to safeguard our natural resources.

This is a part-time paid internship from May – December 2025.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Support New Jersey LCVEF’s education work.
• Gain an understanding of nonpartisan educational, issues-based campaigns and assist with gubernatorial candidate research.
• Cultivate partner relationships with a focus on coalition-building and collaboration on events and media; work on research into candidate and partner events; support the larger goal of amplifying environmental and public health issues.
• Work across teams to ensure our educational work supports broader organizational goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and apply a racial justice lens to all efforts undertaken.
• Work closely with the program Campaigns Manager or designee to support the organization’s long and short-term environmental education plans, effective coalition-building efforts, event and environmental amplification goals, and overall strategic education of gubernatorial candidates and New Jersey residents.
• Develop materials to distribute at meetings with candidates and coalition partners.
• Help research important policy issues for this cycle’s policy guide.
• Assist in planning and attend Coalition-led events to help increase environmental engagement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Excellent oral, written communication, and organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Personable, dependable team player
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and collaboratively; and to manage short-and long-term deadlines
• Ability to work remotely using your own phone and computer
• Familiarity with social media platforms, Google Apps, MS Office, and design software
• Commitment to environmental conservation, or interest in political work preferred

Compensation: Part-time internships are paid, and we are happy to work with interns for college credit

Compensation is $15 an hour, for 15 hours/week. Letters of recommendation are available upon request.

Interns will work remotely, as well as come to our office in Hamilton New Jersey (ideally) at least once a week, and attend events as needed.
