Economist for Environmental Impact

We are looking for a skilled Senior Environmental Economist/Specialist to join our team in delivering impactful environmental solutions. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex, multi-sectoral operations across regions, with a strong ability to engage with clients, the private sector, and external partners.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Practice Manager for SAWE4 based in the Washington Office. He/she will be responsible for mobilizing grant and/or climate co-financing for IBRD/IDA operations or standalone grants.
• Identify long-range goals and objectives.
• Develop strategic approaches to achieve these goals.
• Conceptualize multi-year plans to operationalize and implement these strategies using Bank instruments.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 8 years of international professional experience in the environment and natural resources management sector, including proven experience in ENV business lines.
