This is an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for infrastructure gaps in developing and emerging economies. As an Economist - Urban and Freight Transport, you will contribute to the implementation of transport sector operations, supporting the development of the transport program in the MENA region.

Main Responsibilities
• Lead/co-lead a multi-national staff team in preparing and implementing transport sector operations.
• Prepare sector policies and economic notes, especially in transport connectivity, roads, and urban mobility sub-sectors.
• Contribute to broader cross-cutting issues such as climate change, gender, and road and rail safety in transport.
• Lead/co-lead operations, and analytics, encompassing PPPs, SOE reforms, financing instruments, and collaborations with IFC and MIGA.

Requirements
• A Master's degree or higher in civil/transport engineering, planning, economics, public policy, or finance.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in transport economics, planning/engineering.
• Extensive expertise in policy dialogue, transport economics, operations, and analytics, encompassing PPPs, SOE reforms, financing instruments, and collaborations with IFC and MIGA.
