Position: Ecological Restoration Technician (Seasonal with ability to move full time based on work load and performance)

We’re seeking a Field Restoration Technician for a seasonal position to support habitat restoration and invasive species management projects throughout the region. This is a hands-on, outdoor role involving native planting, weed control, and restoration maintenance.

There is potential for this role to become a long-term position based on performance and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Restoration Fieldwork

• Install native plants and erosion control materials

• Implement invasive species control methods, including herbicide application (training or certification required)

• Perform general site maintenance and mowing

• Assist with wetland, and upland restoration activities

• Help with erosion control projects & Stormwater Maintenance

✅ Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Operate trucks, trailers, sprayers, brush cutters, and hand tools

• Perform basic equipment upkeep and daily safety checks

✅ Team Collaboration

• Work under the guidance of field leads and project managers

• Contribute to a safe and efficient field crew environment

• Participate in seasonal field planning and tool prep as needed

Qualifications

✔ Familiarity with native and invasive plant identification

✔ Ability to work in variable outdoor conditions (heat, rain, rough terrain)

✔ Willingness to obtain WSDA pesticide applicator license (company-supported)

✔ Experience with basic tools, power equipment, and field gear

✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills

✔ Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
