About the position

As an Ecological Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will play a pivotal role in a team dedicated to addressing complex environmental challenges and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients in various sectors, including renewable energy, electric transmission, oil and gas, and commercial real estate, to navigate the intricate landscape of environmental regulations. This position involves supervising a team of staff ecologists and leading interdisciplinary projects that require collaboration with engineers, surveyors, and environmental scientists. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from the initial proposal stage to the final deliverable, ensuring that all aspects meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. CEC's Ecological Practice is a significant contributor to the company's annual revenues, accounting for approximately $15M. This practice encompasses a wide range of technical expertise, including wetland and stream delineations, Section 401/404 permitting, stream and wetland restoration, and surveys for threatened and endangered species. As an Ecological Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to deliver tailored solutions that address specific project needs. Responsibilities
• Supervise staff ecologists and lead interdisciplinary projects.

• Assist clients in achieving and maintaining environmental compliance.

• Manage the entire project lifecycle from proposal to final deliverable.

• Conduct wetland and stream delineations and Section 401/404 permitting.

Requirements
• B.S. or B.A. in a natural sciences field (e.g., Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology).

• Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental permitting and reporting under Section 401/404 Federal Clean Water Act Regulations, with recent experience in Oklahoma.

• Successful client development and management experience in renewable energy, electric transmission, oil and gas, or commercial real estate markets.
