My NRMA is hiring an EV Charging Support Technician, based in Sydney Olympic Park, responsible for pre-commissioning EV charger communications and providing remote support during site construction. The role involves troubleshooting, liaising with the Operations Team, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should have experience in EV systems and technical support. Job Description
In this exciting new career opportunity you will be responsible for undertaking the pre-commissioning of EV charger communications equipment and for providing remote commissioning support to field teams during site construction. You will also provide ongoing day to day troubleshooting and support to the Operations Team in conjunction with Engineering and Technology.
This role is ideally located in Smithfield but could be accommodated in Sydney Olympic Park with flexible / hybrid working.
What You'll Do
• Set up and configuration of routers and network switches
• Verification of device communications and correct readings.
• Providing remote technical support and troubleshooting during site commissioning.
• Act as point of contact for BAU operational enquiries from suppliers, contractors, non-technical staff and the NRMA call centre.
• Provide remote fault resolution support to Operations.
• Liaise with Engineering and Technology to resolve more complex site issues.
• Develop and maintain commissioning and fault management documentation.
• Provide base level operational support to charger and charger comms fault finding.
What You'll Bring
Ideally suited for someone with experience in fault finding, configuration and or technical support of EV, electronic, communications or control systems.
• Strong knowledge of EV charging systems and related technologies
• Experience in commissioning and technical support across key charger brands
• Proficient and methodical in troubleshooting and problem solving
• Experience in producing high quality process improvement and fault report documentation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proven time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure of multiple deliverables within tight deadlines.
• OEM Technical training in key charger technology would be advantageous.
• Formal training in electronic systems , EV technology, communications or control systems would be advantageous.
