Job Description
Capstone is seeking an ESG Manager in Sydney, Australia, to enhance its environmental, social, and governance performance across its property portfolio. Responsibilities include developing ESG frameworks, managing data collection and reporting, and collaborating with teams to integrate ESG into business practices. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in ESG or sustainability, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

A leading real estate investment and development firm is seeking an experienced and motivated ESG Manager to oversee and enhance its environmental, social, and governance performance. With a strong track record of responsible investing and over $5 billion in assets under management, this firm is committed to driving sustainability and positive impact across the built environment.
The Opportunity
As ESG Manager, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of ESG strategy across a diverse property portfolio. Working closely with the investment, asset management, and development teams, you will integrate ESG considerations into business practices and help position the firm as a market leader in responsible property investment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and lead the firm’s ESG framework and roadmap in alignment with industry standards (e.g. GRESB, PRI, TCFD, Climate Active).
• Manage ESG data collection, reporting, and analysis across all investment and operational activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed ESG into acquisition, development, and asset management workflows.
• Prepare ESG reports, disclosures, and communications for investors, regulators, and internal leadership.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement and materiality assessments to inform strategic priorities.
• Monitor regulatory developments and sustainability trends to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation.
About You
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in ESG, sustainability, or related fields, ideally within the property or infrastructure sector.
• Deep understanding of ESG metrics, frameworks, and certification schemes relevant to real estate.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and project management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, sustainability, property, or a related discipline.
