NANA Regional Corporation is seeking an EHS Supervisor in Anchorage, AK, responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in aviation services. About the position

The Environmental, Health and Safety Supervisor at Pegasus Aviation Services is responsible for overseeing compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the aviation service and ground handling sectors. This role involves developing and implementing policies, conducting audits, training staff, and managing environmental programs to ensure safety and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the organization's environmental, health and safety programs for assuring compliance with company policies, carrier compliance, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, Alaska, and other applicable regulations.

• Proactively identify health, safety, and environmental hazards and implement effective controls to minimize risks.
,
• Conduct audits and inspections of the operation to evaluate safety and adherence to policies implemented by the company and document findings and corrective actions.

• Assist in developing and providing training to company staff on issues related to health, safety, and the environment.
,
• Manage environmental programs such as maintaining permits and ensuring compliance with hazardous waste collection and satellite accumulation areas.
,
• Assist management with selecting and maintaining all equipment for health, safety, and environmental protection.
,
• Respond to incidents related to health, safety, and the environment and notify all pertinent company and customer staff.
,
• Investigate incidents and report findings to program management, including causes and actions to prevent reoccurrences.
,
• Interface with subcontractors on matters related to environmental, health and safety.
,
• Assist management with driver training and licensing programs to ensure safe operation of project vehicles.
,
• Generate and submit reports related to health, safety, and environmental metrics and systems as required by management or regulation.
,
• Maintain all records related to safety, health, and environmental protection as required by programs, policy, regulation, or contract clauses.
,
• Utilize incident reporting and other health, safety, and environmental systems as required by the company.
,
• Manage employee and stakeholder engagement in the site health, safety, and environmental programs.

Requirements
• BA/BS degree in related field is preferred though equivalent experience may be substituted.
,
• A minimum of three years' experience in safety, health, and environmental programs.
,
• An expert understanding of the health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the site.
,
• Successfully complete a fingerprint-based, criminal history records check, security training and pre-employment drug test.
,
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

• HAZWOPER
,
• OSHA 30 or greater
,
• Experience managing an SMS system.
,
• BLS/ CPR certification.
