The EHS&S Manager plays a vital role under the direction of the Plant Manager, leading Employee Health and Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Sustainability programs within the facility. Skills
• 3+ years of experience in managing EHS programs
• BS degree in a relevant technical field
• Certification in Safety (CSP), Industrial Hygiene (CIH), or HazMat (CHMM) preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead, coach, train, and mentor team members
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across functions
Responsibilities
• Manage and administer all Employee Health and Safety programs and initiatives
• Ensure compliance with corporate EHS processes and regulations
• Facilitate investigations and root cause analysis for EHS incidents
• Develop, initiate, and maintain EHS&S training programs
• Analyze data to prioritize improvements in EHS&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Serve as Environmental Management Representative for the ISO 14001 Management System
• Prepare internal and external environmental reports
• Establish relationships with safety and environmental regulatory agencies
• Manage operations of wastewater treatment and air emission control equipment
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in managing EHS programs required
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is required
• Preferred certifications in Safety (CSP), Industrial Hygiene (CIH), or HazMat (CHMM)
• Strong skills in regulatory agency interactions
• Ability to work with personnel at all levels
