Woodward, Inc. is hiring an EHS Manager in Loves Park, IL, responsible for developing and managing Environmental, Health and Safety programs. The role includes ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing safety practices. • Estimated annual base pay: $103,200.00(minimum) - $129,000.00(midpoint) - $154,800.00(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a EHS Manager or looking to become one, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position will report to the VP of Operations and manages the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety Management System for a local plant site or regional geographical area. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and standards regarding safety, health and the environment. This position assures adherence to the Woodward Global EHS strategies and supports risk reduction and operational productivity enhancement. This person will sit at our Rock Cut Campus in Loves Park, IL.
What You Will Be Doing
• Accountable and responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining EHS programs, procedures, practices, and training for the site(s) as determined. This includes being accountable for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
• Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and standards as promulgated by all local, state, and federal agencies through development and implementation of on-site inspection and monitoring programs/processes.
• Establishes and implements short- and long-range functional goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; effects change necessary for improvement.
• Establishes budgets and targets for health, safety, and environmental activities with support from facilities, operations, and commercial business functions.
• Oversees the development and maintenance of effective relations with government agencies and our communities.
What We Are Looking For
• US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
• 5+ years’ Experience of related work required.
• Solid level of knowledge and experience with environmental, safety and health issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assess and evaluate environmental, health and safety exposures and risks.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues who possess varying degrees of EHS subject matter knowledge.
• Solid problem-solving skills, offering practical solutions to internal clients.
• Ability to influence the outcome to meet safety, EHS and business objectives.
• Travel Occasional 15% or less.
• Driver’s License Required.
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. The ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident (i.e., 'Green Card holder'), or a protected person (e.g., asylee, or refugee).
