EHS Manager [GD-14144]

A leading industrial manufacturing company is recruiting for an EHS Manager to support their site in the Scarborough, ME area.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing all functions of EHS across the site. Additionally, the incumbent will have the opportunity to develop and execute all EHS programs to meet company and regulatory requirements.

The Role:
• Develop, implement and manage EHS programs, policies and procedures.
• Assist site management in setting EHS goals for the site.
• Coordinate and oversee occupational medical services to provide to site personnel.
• Act as a liaison with EHS governmental agencies and local fire departments.
• Manage all internal and regulatory audits.
• Develop and administer Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plan for the site.
• Lead environmental permitting (air, water).
• Oversee and deliver EHS training as required.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA Safety, Occupational Health and EPA regulations.

The Candidate:
• Bachelors Degree in EHS or related technical field
• 7-10 years EHS experience
• Must possess Certificate in Hazardous Waste Management in Maine
• In-depth knowledge of governmental regulations
• Demonstrated leadership/coaching abilities
• Demonstrated ability to handle emergencies successfully
