EHS Coordinator (Environmental, Health, Safety)

AppleOne is seeking an EHS Coordinator in Dawson, GA, for a contract role paying $25/hr. Responsibilities include creating and updating safety programs, conducting safety checks, and managing contractor safety. Candidates should have 1-3 years of EHS experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is 100% onsite, with travel arranged by the manager.
Our client is global chemical company, it’s one of the largest chemical producers in the world.

They are looking for an EHS Coordinator to help create and update safety programs and make sure they’re being followed.

EHS Coordinator
What You'll Do:
• Help create and update safety programs and make sure they’re being followed.
• Do regular safety checks to ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.
• Manage contractor safety: give safety orientations, issue work permits, and track contractor sign-in/sign-out.
What You Need:
• 1–3 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is highly preferred.
• Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Able to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
• Can work independently with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives.
• Assist in routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health and safety positions, procedures, and practices.
• Have Contractor Oversight including the administration of Contractor EHS Orientations, issuance of the work permits, and ensuring sign-in/sign-out of contractors.
Additional Info:
• This is a 100% onsite role, except when traveling to other locations.
• All travel is arranged and paid for by the manager.
• No medical exams required, only a drug screening is needed.
