Job Description

Noblis is seeking a DoD Energy Data Analyst to join their energy and sustainability team, focusing on energy resilience and climate change initiatives. The role involves data analysis for DoD energy projects, policy development, and supporting various energy initiatives. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in energy analysis, with strong communication skills. This position is remote, allowing for collaboration with a geographically diverse team.
Responsibilities

Overview:

On Noblis' energy and sustainability team, we are dedicated to addressing our planet and Nation's biggest challenges, including energy resilience and climate change. Our energy and sustainability team conducts analyses that support the development of policy and provides energy and sustainability subject matter expertise in support of energy initiatives across the United States Government. We are seeking a professional who will be a member of our team working with DoD partners. As an energy data analyst on our team, you will support several efforts, including energy use analysis for installation and operational energy, energy resilience initiatives, policy development, and technology reviews for our clients. You may engage in other initiatives as well, such as strategy development and coordination with DoD components.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze data in support of ongoing DoD operational and installation energy initiatives and provide evidence-based support for new initiatives.
• Support Congressional reports, programming and budgeting activities, and wargaming efforts with data collection and analysis
• Develop analysis to support energy innovation activities, including research and development.
• Provide options for ways to better collect data, including automated data collection.
• Provide program analysis as needed to justify policy and investment activities.
• Assist with energy supportability analysis and related techniques. Participate in development of staff training for these activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, sustainability, policy, energy, environmental science, or other relevant fields and 3+ years' relevant experience. (Or a Master's degree and 1+ year relevant experience.)
• Knowledge of Federal energy resilience, operational energy, installation energy, or sustainability initiatives
• Experience analyzing operational or installation energy initiatives for the Federal government
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Presentation skills and experience presenting to technical and nontechnical audiences
• Experience in using spreadsheets and databases to perform data analysis
• Works well in a geographically diverse team environment
• U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
• Advanced degree in engineering, accounting, sustainability, policy, energy, environmental science, or other relevant fields
• DoD Secret clearance
• Knowledge of DoD Programming and Budget cycle
• Experience with DoD installation or operational energy offices
• Experience on projects with the United States Federal Government
• Strong data analysis skills in Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and/or R

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
