Role Description
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Principal is a newly created opportunity in our Diversity, Equity & inclusion (DEI) team based at our Perth CBD office.
The DEI Principal is a key member of the People, Safety and Environment team, dedicated to driving DEI initiatives that enhance organisational culture and transformation. This role focuses on fostering an inclusive culture, promoting engagement with various stakeholders to embrace and embed DEI practices in their day-to-day operations. This role will provide specialist strategic governance and DEI expertise to enable the successful embedding, operationalisation, and execution of the next horizon of the DEI strategy at Synergy.
Job Responsibilities
• Support the Head of DEI in the development of key strategic initiatives to enable delivery of the DEI strategy aligned with Synergy’s corporate strategy and objectives.
• Design and implement prioritised DEI programs of work to support the strategic initiatives with an emphasis on corporate culture transformation, inclusive leadership, and embedding a DEI framework that values diversity.
• Manage strategic initiative milestones related to LGBTQ, Gender Equity, Reconciliation/RAP and All-Abilities.
• Stay informed on contemporary DEI research and practices, conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to innovate and solve problems with a DEI perspective.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure products and services meet their needs and promote an inclusive environment.
What You Will Bring
• Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Organisational Development (OD), or related field, and or equivalent experience.
• At least ten years’ experience in human resources with experience in OD/ DEI / HR practices
• Strategic thinking and business acumen to drive growth and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing organisation wide initiatives.
