Job Description

Disney is seeking a Sustainable Materials Sourcing Intern for Spring 2025 in Kissimmee, FL. The intern will assist in sourcing sustainable materials to support Disney's 2030 Sustainability Goals, manage digital and physical libraries, and contribute to various sustainability projects. About the position

The Sustainable Materials Sourcing Intern at Disney Consumer Products will assist in sourcing sustainable materials to meet The Walt Disney Company's 2030 Sustainability Material Goals. This role involves supporting various projects related to textiles and trims, managing digital and physical libraries, and contributing to sustainability resources and sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities
• Facilitate collaborative material reviews and approvals with cross-functional partners, primarily in textiles
,
• Create and organize physical and digital library entries for textiles, trims, and labels
,
• Create, track, and communicate requests in product lifecycle management system to Suppliers
,
• Build and maintain reports and presentations on fabric consumption, development reporting, and progress towards sustainability goals
,
• Improve data integrity through review of PLM inputs
,
• Learn the role of Sustainable Materials Sourcing and its relation to Disney Global Merchandise & Sourcing Development in Apparel, Home, and Plush products
,
• Gain knowledge of the garment, sample, and fabric development process
,
• Participate in special projects that support The Walt Disney Company's 2030 Sustainability Goals

Requirements
• Passion for retail and sustainability
,
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Product Lifecycle Management software system is a plus
,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
,
• Detail oriented
,
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously
,
• Schedule flexibility to accommodate global time zones
,
• Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or recent graduate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Materials Science, Merchandising, Product Development or related field
