The Role

Reporting to the Head of Customer Solutions, the Director Structured Transactions is responsible for identifying, negotiating and executing high value complex transactions with C&I customers, PPA offtakers or through government led initiatives.

This role plays a key role in the development of the Sales Strategy and ensuring that strategic transactions are entered into to deliver the Sales Portfolio.

Key responsibilities:
• Manage and lead a matrix team to deliver the strategic customer agreements to achieve the targeted Sales Portfolio.
• Support of the asset development pipeline by providing routes to market to secure required revenues to underwrite / finance growth.
• Ensure all transactions are supported internally and have required endorsement.
• Develop the Sales Strategy and revenue targets as inputs into the budget process.
• Ensure that a pipeline of customer opportunities is developed to achieve the intended Sales Portfolio and respond to changes in the market.
• Engage other functions within SQE to ensure complex transactions are well understood
• Ongoing reporting performance of complex transactions and integration of this into aggregate performance reporting.
• Negotiation of new Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and amendments required to existing PPAs.
• Management of PPAs pre and post COD and customer relationship management.

About you

You will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance.
• An MBA or Masters in Finance would be highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex transactions (preferably the energy sector).
• Deep understanding of energy markets and economics.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a portfolio of energy (gas, LNG, electricity).
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating large energy contracts.
• Ability to communicate well at senior levels in written and verbal forms.
• Highly strategic and commercially astute and strong management & leadership skills
