Job Description
Arizona State University is seeking a Director of Global Conservation & Sustainability to lead its global strategy in conservation education. About the position
The Director of Global Conservation & Sustainability at ASU is responsible for leading the university's global strategy in conservation and sustainability education. This role involves setting and driving impactful initiatives, developing key partnerships, and designing innovative programs that position ASU as a leader in this field. The director will represent ASU on a global stage, aiming to shape the future of conservation education and advance sustainability efforts worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Set the direction and priorities for ASU's global conservation and sustainability initiatives.

• Cultivate global partnerships with NGOs, governments, and corporations to enhance ASU's sustainability efforts.

• Curate and create conservation-focused educational programs, including online courses and immersive in-person workshops.
,
• Inspire and lead a dedicated team to execute high-impact projects that drive measurable global outcomes.

• Represent ASU at high-level stakeholder events, conferences, and global meetings to foster collaboration and expand ASU's conservation influence.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND eight (8) years of related administrative experience, which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, Twelve (12) years of related administrative experience, which includes five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

• Proven leadership experience in global conservation and sustainability, including managing international partnerships.

• Strong expertise in educational program design and development, with a focus on online and in-person experiences.
,
• Exceptional communication and networking skills, with experience representing organizations at high-profile events.
,
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively for global partnership development and event participation.
Benefits
• Salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience.

• Grant funded position with continuation contingent on future grant funding.
