About the Role

The Company is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Director of Conservation and Land Management to spearhead its mission of preserving native species and their ecosystems. You will play a pivotal role in defining and reaching both short and long-term organizational goals while supervising senior staff and fine-tuning the strategic vision for operational success. This position offers an exciting opportunity for community engagement, advocacy, and building strong relationships with government bodies, tribal entities, and other stakeholders.

Your leadership will extend to overseeing land acquisition and stewardship efforts while ensuring compliance with top standards of land trust practices. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in nonprofit management within conservation or land trust settings, coupled with a thorough understanding of environmental laws, land conservation methods, and real estate transactions.

We value excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with proven experience in managing budgets, staff, and various programs. A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, while a related advanced degree is preferred. You will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, engage with donors, and connect with the community, all while embodying the organization's core values and mission.

This position requires a hands-on approach, including the ability to navigate diverse terrains both in the field and office environments.
