The Director of Climate & Safety will be pivotal in suppoting school leaders in fostering a positive school culture and climate, ensuring implementation of strategies that align with the district's educational objectives to enhance positive student engagement and safety. This role will also support high-level district systems aimed at improving behavior management and student social-emotional well-being across the district. The Director of Climate & Safety collaboratively works with school leaders and other district teams to ensure that all students demonstrate achievement gains and internalize the school's values while fostering a positive, structured, consistent, caring and disciplined school culture. Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Academics, this individual oversees various aspects of student engagement, behavior management, safety, athletics, and attendance monitoring.

Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Master’s degree preferred

Experience Required:
• Minimum of 5 years in the education field as a teacher or social service worker working directly with students in social emotional learning and other behavior perspectives
• Minimum of 5 years of SW, MTSS, attendance, PBIS, and adolescent counseling experience preferred

Terms Of Employment:

Twelve-month year (July 1 to June 30)
