About the Role
The Director General for ESEG is a high-profile position responsible for leading all aspects of economic, social, and environmental statistics at ONS. This role involves directing the delivery of the UK’s most important statistics about the economy, serving as an authoritative and credible public face of economic, social, and environmental statistics and analysis, overseeing the modernization of the collection and communication of these statistics, and devising and implementing strategic approaches to their production and dissemination.
Key Responsibilities

Building confidence, trust, and credibility among users, you will provide an authoritative voice for economic statistics and analysis, personally explaining economic statistics to users including Government, Parliament, the media, and the public.
