Director – Private Credit

Ethos Beath Chapman Idibu is hiring a Director – Private Credit in Singapore. This permanent role involves origination of investment opportunities, assessment of private credit transactions, and managing relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have 8-12 years of relevant experience and strong interpersonal skills. The position offers a salary between US$200K–US$300K a year and is a full-time commitment.

• Newly created headcount

Responsibilities:
• Focus on origination of new investment opportunities in Asia Pacific
• Lead assessment and analysis of private credit transactions for recommendation to Investment Committee and the ongoing monitoring of portfolio
• Build strong relationships with financial sponsors, promoters, corporates, family-backed businesses, advisers, management teams and origination professionals in order to best position asset management funds for transactions
• Manage transaction documentation process in conjunction with the bank and external stakeholders to ensure that investments are completed in an efficient manner
• Oversee investments post completion including involvement in investments showing signs of stress or distress
• Help promote the APAC Private Credit capability to Sales teams, prepare generic or ad-hoc marketing documents for fundraising

Profile of ideal candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• 8-12 years of relevant work experience in private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance or similar with some exposure to mid-market lending and working alongside corporates, family-backed businesses, promoters and financial sponsors desirable
• Strong level of commercial acumen and awareness, including of economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues of business
• Good interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders
