Job Description

The Development Operations Manager at Communities for a Better Environment will oversee the integration of a new CRM platform, manage donor data, and collaborate with the Development and Finance teams. This full-time position emphasizes racial equity and language justice. While the role requires in-person tasks in Southeast Los Angeles, most staff currently work remotely, making it accessible for remote applicants in Southern California.
General Positions Summary

Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Operations Manager will be a key member of CBE’s Development Team. CBE recently transitioned to a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform (Blackbaud). The Development Operations Manager will lead the integration and migration of CBE’s existing tracking systems and data into the new platform and will work with CBE’s Development and Finance Departments and additional staff to ensure all parties are involved and trained on the new database and that all information is transferred over. In addition, the Development Operations Manager will ensure adequate tracking of incoming donations (including grants and contracts), with the support of CBE’s Development and Finance teams, and maintain existing Donor Engagement strategies where applicable (e.g. quarterly donor mailings, in-person check deposits and reconciliation, etc.). This is a full-time, permanent position.

In addition to the above, racial equity and language justice are key areas supported by the Development Operations Manager. CBE has made a commitment to addressing anti-blackness and white supremacy culture within our organization, and the Development Operations Manager will participate in CBE’s internal work to meet equity goals and will be a bridge to our members’ participation.

Location: CBE has four offices Huntington Park and Wilmington (Los Angeles) in Southern California, and Oakland and Richmond in Northern California.
