Job Description

Michael Page is hiring a Development Manager for Renewable Energy in Nashville, TN, responsible for managing utility-scale projects from development through construction. The role involves collaboration with engineering teams, due diligence on project acquisitions, and stakeholder management. Candidates should have at least five years of experience in renewable energy development and a relevant bachelor's degree. The position offers a salary of $140,000-$150,000 and is 100% remote for Central or Eastern US-based employees.

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Development Manager to be responsible for various stages from greenfielding through to COD. These responsibilities includes
• Managing and executing the development of utility scale renewable energy projects through post-NTP and into construction phases
• Collaborate with engineering team and external consultants to evaluate site layouts and constraints, technology options, schedule implications, interconnection applications and studies
• Direct and conduct due diligence on development-stage project and portfolio acquisitions, including comparison and prioritization of multiple opportunities based on common siting, permitting, interconnection, power-marketing and other project metrics
• Manage external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns
• Manage external stakeholders supporting property and sales tax abatement efforts
• Manage occasional permitting activities with support from other team members
• Prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses

The Successful Applicant
• Five (5) year's experience in renewable energy development with exposure to early and late stages of the project life-cycle
• Direct experience with utility scale solar, storage or wind projects.
• Experience with SMEs on interconnection, M&A evaluations, and approvals toward COD
• Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects
• Bachelor's degree is required
