Michael Page is hiring a Development Manager for Solar, Storage, and Wind projects based in Chicago, with remote work options. The role involves managing the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects from inception to commercial operation, collaborating with engineering teams, conducting due diligence, and engaging with stakeholders. Candidates should have at least four years of experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly with utility-scale projects. The position offers a salary of $130,000-$160,000 plus bonuses and benefits.

About Our Client
Our client is an IPP that focus on utility scale solar, storage and wind projects. They cover projects nationwide throughout WECC, CAISO, SPP, MISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and ISO-New England. Their company is made up of around 450 employees and employees can work on an 100% remote basis.
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Development Manager to be responsible for various stages from greenfielding through to COD. These responsibilities include:
• Managing and executing the development of utility scale renewable energy projects from greenfield to COD
• Collaborate with engineering team and external consultants to evaluate site layouts and constraints, technology options, schedule implications, interconnection applications and studies
• Direct and conduct due diligence on development-stage project and portfolio acquisitions, including comparison and prioritization of multiple opportunities based on common siting, permitting, interconnection, power-marketing and other project metrics
• Manage external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns
• Manage external stakeholders supporting property and sales tax abatement efforts
• Manage occasional permitting activities with support from other team members
• Prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses

The Successful Applicant
• Minimum of (4) year's experience in renewable energy industry with full life-cycle development
• Direct experience with utility scale solar, storage or wind projects in the US.
• Experience with land development: landowner engagement, and negotiation/contracting, title resolution, agricultural land use/water restrictions
• Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects
• Bachelor's degree is required
