Job Description

One Planet Capital is seeking a Development Associate in London to support the sales and fundraising team. The role involves identifying and reaching out to potential investors, particularly financial advisers, and assisting existing clients. Responsibilities include research, cold calling, maintaining the CRM database, and marketing outreach. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and financial services sales experience. This is a full-time position based in London.

OPC back early stage companies that are looking to scale with the potential of returning large returns to investors. We are active in sectors such as; electric transport, secondhand clothing & consumer businesses, renewable energy technologies & sustainable building materials to name a few.

OnePlanetCapital currently has a portfolio of 35 businesses and is looking to scale rapidly. Last year investment inflow increased by 300%. The flagship investment vehicle is currently ‘The OnePlanetCapital Climate Change EIS Fund’ marketed at retail clients including high net worth individuals & financial advisers.

Job description

OPC are looking for a business development associate to join the sales/fundraising team. The role will be working closely with the sales director and fundraising team to increase inflows into OnePlanetCapital funds and investment opportunities.

The main target demographic for OnePlanetCapital’s current investment funds are retail clients. These include high net worth individuals and financial advisors/wealth managers across the UK.

The core responsibility for the role will be to identify new potential target investors (often these will be financial advisers) , outreach (call / email) these targets, qualify they are interested in OnePlanetCapital and arrange meetings with the sales director.

Job scope will also include assisting with existing investor clients, answering queries & presenting to potential clients.

Duties will include
• Research new target investors
• Cold call and develop relationships with these target investors.
• Assist developing relationships with existing clients
• Maintaining and update the CRM database
• Assisting with marketing outreach

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Financial service sales experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
