The Role:

The Energy Storage Development Associate will lead development of National Grid Renewables’ energy storage projects. This will be a highly cross-functional, multi-disciplinary role directly contributing to commercializing opportunities in the rapidly evolving energy storage sector.

What You are Actually Doing:
• Lead energy storage project development, from site acquisition through commercialization
• Assist in developing site targeting strategies
• Represent National Grid Renewables in state and local processes throughout the project development process
• Work with the permitting department to manage state, federal, and local permitting efforts and approval processes for utility-scale energy storage projects
• Interface with the engineering and construction teams to optimize project designs, layouts, and technologies
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of project development experience in renewable energy
• Desire to work with and manage relationships with landowners and other stakeholders
• Familiarity with wholesale energy markets
• Prior experience with utility-scale energy project development
• Ability to travel 30%
