About this Role

Energy Infrastructure Partners is looking for a dedicated Finance Specialist to contribute to a New York City building decarbonization program. The role involves assisting building owners, property managers, and other stakeholders to understand and obtain financial support for decarbonization projects in compliance with Local Law 97. This position is vital for driving energy-efficient upgrades and fostering awareness of various financing opportunities, tax incentives, and regulatory frameworks. The advisor will be instrumental in connecting prospective borrowers with lenders, facilitating efficient loan applications, and managing stakeholder communications to ensure successful financing project completion. Additionally, the role requires extensive outreach and relationship-building activities across affordable housing, commercial properties, and additional service provider networks to enhance program participation and awareness.

Responsibilities
• Provide an overview of relevant financing opportunities within the NYC building decarbonization program.
• Introduce prospective borrowers to lenders through facilitated meetings.
• Assist borrowers to understand and compare financing options and term sheets.
• Re-engage stakeholders after initial inquiries to complete financing processes.
• Document and disseminate information on relevant tax incentives and credits.
• Build and nurture relationships within the NYC financing assistance program.
• Increase awareness of the program, serving as a subject matter expert at events.
• Manage aspects of the Provider Program and conduct provider onboarding.
• Coordinate quarterly reporting and maintain financing records.
• Work closely with internal teams to align efforts and improve service delivery.

Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, or mathematics.
• Minimum 5-7 years of full-time experience in lending or capital solutions.
