Data and research analyst apprenticeship - Paris, France

Green Giraffe is seeking a Data and Research Analyst apprentice in Paris, France. The role involves updating databases, preparing analytics, organizing documents, and supporting internal research related to renewable energy finance. Candidates should have relevant studies, be fluent in English, possess analytical skills, and be proficient in Excel. The position requires a minimum of 3 weeks in the office each month, indicating it is not a remote job.

Green Giraffe is one of the leading financial advisor in the energy transition. We offer bespoke financial advice, market intelligence and development services in all renewable and energy transition technologies

In the knowledge department, we gather and share information about the renewable energy market and the finance world from various sources. We organize this information, build databases, analytics, and create libraries of documents which can be easily accessed by the project teams.

We are currently looking for an apprentice in data and research to help with the data gathering and sharing in the company. The role will be based in Paris and we expect the apprentice to be a minimum of 3 weeks in the company per month.

Role:
• Regularly update various databases (investor profile, finance transactions), gathering data points from different sources and filling the information
• Prepare key analytics (valuation of energy projects, capex and opex pricing, competitive analysis) and share them to the relevant groups of expertise
• Identify, gather and store useful documents in our document library, in a way it can be easily retrieved by our project teams
• Assess different external data providers and compare them
• Support with internal research based on the needs of the project teams
• Support the improvement of our data collection process, with the help of power query, power automate, BI tools, AI assistants, or any other tools you know off

Skills:
• Studies in data, economics, business management or any relevant fields
• Fluent in English
• Analytical mind, ability to summarize information and to work with numbers
• Good skills with excel is a minimum
• Knowledge of programming languages is a plus (python, R, SQL)
• Understanding of automation and data visualization tools is a plus as well (power BI, power automate, power query or any other tools you know of)
• Motivated to learn, and work with autonomy
