beBee Careers is seeking a Data Analyst for Climate Resilience in Boston, MA. The role involves tracking climate resilience measures in capital projects and supporting data needs. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and two years of experience in project management or related fields. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS tools is required, with preferred experience in visualization and flood modeling software.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in the Department of Energy and Environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking climate resilience measures and adaptation strategies in capital projects, as well as supporting the climate resilience data needs of the Authority.
This is a key position that will assist us in meeting our regulatory commitments and obligations under EO 569 and MEPA, as well as other State regulations focused on climate resilience. If you have experience with project management, design review, urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, analytics, or related fields, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in the review of all MBTA capital projects to track each project's resiliency components
• Assist with facilitating the appropriate project review for climate resilience
• Respond to climate change data requests from Capital Project Managers and 3rd parties
• Regularly communicate findings within the Authority and prepare material for communicating with external audiences
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Transportation, Data Science, or related field
• Two (2) years of experience in project management and design review, urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, analytics or other related fields
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Database and PowerPoint, Geographic Information Systems, Google Earth
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud programs
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Tableau, Synchro, VisSim, or equivalent software
• Familiarity with visualization software such as Rhino3D, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revvit, and/or Civil3D
• Familiarity with flood modeling software such as EPASWMM, InfoWorks, PCSWMM
