Data Analyst Intern

National Grid Renewables is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for Summer 2022 in Bloomington, MN. The intern will assist the IT team with data architecture, gather requirements, validate data sets, and support reporting efforts. Candidates should be undergraduates or recent graduates in relevant fields, with skills in Microsoft 365, SQL, and reporting tools. This is a paid, full-time internship focused on the renewable energy sector.

National Grid Renewables is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for the Summer of 2022. The intern will an undergraduate candidate, with consideration given to MBA candidates. The Internship is for an individual that is looking for a career experience in the renewables industry and is hungry to make a difference.
• Job Description:
• Assist the IT team with the data architecture project.
• Help gather requirements and document needs of the different user groups.
• Validate data sets compiled for reporting.
• Work with user groups with requests in modifications of current reports
• Create companion guides for reporting
• Work with the Development team on specific data clean up and creation of new reports
• Support reporting efforts for executive leadership
• Requirements:
• Student in University or recently graduated student in statistics, math, computer science, business, or related field
• Interest in renewable energy
• Detailed oriented
• Strong written and speaking skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Knowledge in the following tools:
• Microsoft 365 products; Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint
• SQL
• Power BI/Tableau or similar reporting tool
• Nice to have:
• R
• Python

• Expected hours are about 40/week during Summer
