• Serves as a role model and demonstrates that safety is a value.
• Develops and implements EHS tools, programs, standards, policies, procedures, and best practice techniques.
• Researches existing and emerging regulations and leads the implementation of new EHS requirements.
• Prepares white papers on EHS requirements.
• Leads the preparation, maintenance, and compliance with federal, state, and local agency EHS reporting and permitting.
• Conducts EHS assessments for chemical, biological, physical hazards in the workplace.
• Manages reviews and evaluates requests for the use of hazardous materials or performance of potentially hazardous procedures.
• Identifies, designs, and oversees various industrial hygiene functions.
• Leads emergency response, evacuation planning, investigation, and escalation of environmental incidents.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:
• A minimum of 7 years of EHS experience serving in an EHS/Safety/Environmental role and 3+ years relevant manufacturing work experience.
• EHS certifications such as CSP, CHMM are preferred.
• Technical skills and knowledge of existing EHS standards and methodologies commensurate with assignments and current experience.
• Intermediate computer skills to be proficient in the use of standard office software and EHS specific computer management systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
