Job Description

Cleco is seeking a Corporate Finance Professional in Pineville, LA. Responsibilities include monitoring accounting standards, evaluating changes in accounting practices, ensuring corporate controls effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Candidates should have a strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and risk management, along with a Bachelor's degree and CPA certification. This is a full-time position posted 10 days ago.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the activities of all accounting standard-setting bodies (e.g., FASB, SEC, FERC, AICPA, EITF, etc.)
• Evaluate research and identify changes in accounting principles or practices
• Ensure the overall effectiveness of corporate controls programs
• Serve as a liaison for compliance with Cleco policies, procedures, standards of business conduct, and applicable state and federal regulations

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, internal control processes, and risk management principles. A background in finance, accounting, or business is essential, with a Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience. Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is also required.
