Corporate Environmental Engineer, Senior or Principal

UNS Energy Corporation is seeking a Senior or Principal Corporate Environmental Engineer in Tucson, AZ. The role involves providing technical expertise in air quality regulations, supporting environmental policy advocacy, and mentoring staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, six years of experience in environmental compliance, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills, preferably within the electric or gas utility industry.
What you will do
• Provide technical expertise in air quality regulatory programs to support resource planning, the Company's business/operational units and to implement the Company's Environmental Compliance Programs.
• Support environmental policy advocacy efforts on behalf of the Company and the expansion of renewable, energy storage, and fossil fuel resources from an environmental compliance/permitting perspective.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise with the opportunity to mentor others while collaborating across departments.

What you bring
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent education and experience.
• Six or more years of professional work experience.
• Significant experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and policy advocacy related to electric utility industry air quality matters.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills such as collaborative, problem identification and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience in electric or gas utility industry is highly preferred.
