Job Description
ERM is seeking a Corporate Environmental Advisor in Boston, MA, to enhance corporate sustainability and climate change advisory services. The role involves developing climate change programs, assessing GHG emissions in various industries, and advising on emission reduction strategies. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential. Environmental Resources Management is looking for a talented Corporate Environmental Advisor to help grow our corporate sustainability and climate change advisory services practice. As a Corporate Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and delivering climate change programs across a wide range of industries.
You will work closely with our expert consulting team to provide clients with innovative solutions to their climate-related challenges. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to climate, clean energy, and clean transportation policy development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement climate change programs across various industry sectors.
• Evaluate oil and gas, chemical, and/or manufacturing processes to assess GHG emissions.
• Advise on climate-related projects, including GHG inventory development and emission reduction strategies.
• Support the development of climate change strategy, action planning, and/or modeling.
• Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for reducing GHG emissions and improve overall sustainability.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required in policy, law, economics, engineering, or basic/applied science (such as physics, chemistry, material sciences, environmental science, earth sciences, etc.).
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a related field, such as consultancy, private sector (power, natural gas, hydrogen, etc.), or environmental policy.
• Candidate must be able to synthesize project outcomes/findings into key themes, analyze information to develop conclusions, and draft client deliverables.
• A thorough understanding of technical, economic, policy, and market challenges and opportunities associated with the low-carbon energy transition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to deliver high-quality work products.
• Effective communication and project management skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
