Controls Technician

Redwood Materials is seeking a Controls Technician in Ridgeville, SC, responsible for implementing and maintaining controls hardware and electrical equipment. We're doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.Controls TechnicianThe Controls Technician's primary responsibility is to implement and maintain the controls hardware, instrumentation, and electrical equipment at Redwood Materials.Responsibilities will include:Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment.Fabricate and perform upgrades and repairs to electrical control panels.Field wire instrumentation and motor controls.Perform and document maintenance calibrations, installations, fault diagnosis, repair of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.Performs troubleshooting on all instrument systems and process control using P&ID and electrical schematics.Desired Qualifications:Minimum of 4+ years' hands-on experience working in an automated manufacturing environment; fabricating and wiring control panels and troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation.Ability to interpret and follow electrical schematics and competency around voltages up to 480V.Troubleshooting, and a knowledge of electromechanical systems is a big plus!A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
